PuPil premium

Our 2022-23 Pupil Premium Strategy can be viewed here.

What is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is funding granted to support the school's provision of educational experiences of pupils in receipt of Free School Meals. From April 2012 this funding also includes pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as 'Ever 6 FSM'), children who have been looked after by the local authority continuously for more than six months, children adopted from care and children who have parents serving in the armed forces are also eligible.

How is the funding spent?

The aim of the funding is to narrow the achievement and progress gap by addressing inequalities and raising the attainment and aspirations of those children entitled to pupil premium, and to ensure that all pupils have equal access to the curriculum and wider enrichment activities.

How will we know it is working?

We will carry out reviews on progress and audit and assess the needs across the school. A Pupil Premium funding plan will be written and reviewed in each academic year to monitor success.

The next strategy review will take place in July 2023.

You can find out more about how the funding has been allocated and the impact of it on our Pupil Premium pages for a specific academic year.
